Summer Wishlist 2011

So, I've seen a ton of awesome accessories for summer this year. Some days I spend online window shopping and I've compiled quite a wishlist. Here's what it consists of...

1. FEATHER HAIR EXTENSIONS.

Feather Hair Accents - Sun Kissed
These are supercute. Like, supersupercute. I found these clip in ones from Sephora that I  l-o-v-e  love in "Sun Kissed". Twenty-five dollars, thank you very much.

2. SILVER GLITTER TOMS
Self-explanatory. Sooo adorable! (and only $54!)

Silver Women's Glitters

3. THIS SHIRT
When you see it on the American Eagle website, it doesn't show you the back. It just says AE Tie Back T. Click on it, look at the back view. It looks so cute! The reviews show the fit is kind of large... so I hope it doesn't disappoint! But the price is unbeatable. $11.99! I can't get a picture... so here's the link.

4. BEASTLY
This movie looked awesome when it came out in theaters. I wish I could have went and seen it. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite movie ever. I was excited. Plus, Alex Pettyfer is insanely gorgeous. Just saying ;)

Ahh! Had to add one. He is too hot.

5. PRETTY LITTLE LIARS ON DVD
As many season(s?) as possible. I cannot get enough of this show! And Ezra. He, too, is beautiful. Very, very beautiful. Toby's not bad either. Enough, now. 'Cause there are just too many attractive men on the show to list. And the style of the girls is  a m a z i n g! Aria's my favorite.

Alright, I know... I need to make some money and buy 'em all myself. But, my birthday is coming up. Shout out to my family.. THIS STUFF IS WHAT I WANT. But I should probably just get some nice yoga equipment instead. Darn... we'll see ;)

p.s.- I'm pretty sure there's a ton of awesome jewelry at Forever 21. Like always. I'm gonna have to just make a separate wishlist there. Maybe I'll show you sometime... maybe.

me, my sister, and i

Okay, so my twin sister and I love doing hair and make-up and getting ready. That may be our favorite part of going somewhere. Sometimes we take an entire afternoon watching YouTube videos for hair and makeup tuts. Then we try them out, even if we aren't going somewhere. One of our favorite vloggers on YouTube is LolaMarie7 because we probably try her videos out more often and I think they're very well explained. So, with that said, the result of one of these afternoons is in the pictures below. Enjoy (:

We'll start with the ones of my sister....

ha, all the pictures are edited, by the way. picnik.com (:

yum..

Baggie Ice Cream

Who doesn't love homemade ice cream? It's even better when you make it yourself! Here's an easy DIY recipe, thanks to this website.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup milk or half & half
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons rock salt
sandwich-size Zip-Loc bag
gallon-size Zip-Loc bag

Preparation:

Put 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/2 cup milk or half & half, and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla in a sandwich-size Zip-Loc bag and "zip" it closed.

Put 2 Tbsp rock salt (baking aisle in grocery), the filled and zipped sandwich bag from above, and ice cubes to fill bag about 3/4 full in a gallon-size Zip-Loc bag and "zip" it shut. Shake and roll the filled bag over and over until frozen (about 15-20 min.)

As the ice melts, the bag does leak a little. I use a towel, so my hands don't get cold and the water doesn't make a mess!
Enjoy!

rawr.

You all get this feeling. You know, the one where you wanna pull all your hair out. Even though it's SUMMER!

I know most kids in school are happy that they don't have classes anymore. But everybody knows that the amount of free time in summer adds up, and it's enough to drive you to clean! That's not something I'm planning on doing anytime soon, so I decided to compile a list of interesting things to do during summer break. Boredom busters, if you will. Because we all know 3,495,873,498,573,498 hours of Facebook/Twitter/texting can make you  i n s a n e.

1. Tae Bo. Yes, exercise. No, it's not fun. But afterwards, you really feel 1,000,000 times better. Yoga is good too! (and relaxing!)
2. Put together outfits. That way when you DO finally have something to do, you'll look good, too!
3. Think. But don't over-think. That's not good.
4. Look up new music. It's always fun to find a relatively unknown band, that way, when they become popular, you can claim that YOU knew of them FIRST.
5. Go on a bike ride. Yes, I know. Exercising yet again. Sorry! But, this one can be really fun. (Even though I totally  freak out when I do :o)
6. Swim. Duh!
7. Lay out. But don't forget the sunscreen! (If you do, I'll leave a post with an awesome way to prevent peeling and making sure the burn turns brown. No point in the pain, if it doesn't tan, right?)
8. Baggie ice cream. Awesome! (I'll put a recipe for this, too)
9. Movie Day. Relax. That's what summer's about, right?
10. Take up an activity. You know that thing your mom's bugging you to do? Try it. Maybe you'll like it... or not. You'll never know if you don't try!
11. Read a book. I have a long list of good reads :o)
12. http://www.fmylife.com/ hahahahha. Yes, it's a website you've probably heard of. But I could spend an entire week reading these things. It's horrible, but I laugh. It's hard not too;)
13. Start a blog. Kind of ironic, because that's what I'm doing now. Beating summer boredom, by blogging. Guess it isn't toooo bad.
14. Learn how to tell time by the sun. No, it isn't original. I got it off this website: http://www.azcentral.com/families/articles/0716fam_101things.html, but you can't deny that you've always wanted to learn how to! No need for a watch anymore. Impress your friends. I'd be impressed if I was your friend.
15. LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN your and you're, its and it's, too, two, and to, and their, there, and they're. It'd be much appreciated. :)
16. Paint your nails. or toes. My toes are permanently black. My mom hates it, but I could do worse things, right?
17. Bond with your siblings. You'll love 'em all when you're older anyways. Why not start early?
18. Do something you've been meaning to do. You won't regret it. (as long as it's legal, sane, etc...) Carpe Diem! Seize the day!
19. Speaking of the phrase... watch Dead Poet's Society. Best. Movie. Ever.
20. Take pictures. Document the summer you could have spent doing nothing, but didn't!

Alright.. I can't think of anything else.. but hey, this is a good start. Have a happy, non-boring summer!
